On February 20, 2027 The Potparazzi® and Ishqa Hillman are setting out from Los Angeles for six months, 48 states and one country full of stories waiting to be told.

We’ll document the people, businesses and communities shaping 🌱 across America—while sharing what women need to know about traveling safely, navigating changing state laws, finding dependable stops and leaving no trace behind.

And yes, Pepper the pitbull and Mango the tiny turtle with a big personality are coming too. 🐶🐢

Some people build community because they know what it means to need one. 💚

Spenta Mehraban is one of the founding mothers of GWGW Events🌬️ and the woman behind the Women’s Lounge at Hall Of Flowers creating spaces where women can connect, collaborate, celebrate, and belong.

But Spenta’s relationship with community began long before 🌱.

She was just six months old when her family fled Afghanistan in fear of their lives.

After eventually making a home in America, her father, a historian and champion of women’s rights helped build an Afghan community where families could gather, preserve their culture, and celebrate together.

Today, his daughter is building community too.

Different generation. Different circumstances. Same instinct to create the space people need.

Her story is about family, resilience, women in w**d, GWGW, the Women’s Lounge—and the ways our roots can shape what we build.

This is what cannabis stigma can look like when you’re a mom. 💚

When Sarah Strickler and her husband began openly building Grown Rogue, Sarah told some of the other moms what they did for a living.

Then her daughter’s birthday came around.

When RSVPs didn’t immediately come in, Sarah started wondering whether the other kids would still be allowed to come. Her daughter even asked her, “Mama, are they gonna come?”

They did. Everyone showed up.

But Sarah’s story stuck with me because THIS is why destigmatization matters. It isn’t only about changing laws or changing an industry. It’s about creating a world where the next generation doesn’t inherit the shame and fear so many cannabis parents have carried.

And something beautiful happened when Sarah and her husband stopped hiding: people started coming to them with their cannabis questions. Vulnerability created trust.
