🚨 FRESH LAUNCH 🚨

⭐ Singapore’s first 3D-printed Fortune Merlion has landed — and it’s not just a collector’s item, it’s a proper showpiece!

Designed by Uniplay and crafted entirely from recycled PET bottles, this limited-edition figure is a brilliant blend of sustainability, design, and local culture. With just 60 pieces up for grabs, each one’s made from around 30 used bottles and comes with magnetic charms symbolising wealth, longevity, and romance.

There’s even a clever “bubble” at the mouth to mirror the Merlion’s iconic fountain — a nod to the Chinese belief that flowing water brings prosperity. Numbers like 4 and 14? Reimagined with lucky wordplay for a fresh, culturally sensitive twist. Packaged in eco-friendly materials and complete with a certificate of authenticity, it’s thoughtful down to the last detail.

🚨 NEW FESTIVAL ALERT 🚨

✨ With May comes one more of the most anticipated festivals of the year – i Light Singapore (iLSG)! From 29 May to 21 June 2025, the city will come alive with spectacular light installations and immersive programmes designed to inspire sustainable living.

This year, iLSG takes inspiration from the colour red, symbolising connection and energy, and celebrates the spirit of ‘To Gather’. Expect 17 brand-new light art installations by 20 local and international artists, each sparking conversations on sustainability and a brighter, shared future.

⭐ Plus, for the first time ever, iLSG introduces satellite sites, expanding the festival’s reach across the city.

A must-visit during the festival is the return of the popular Festival Village at GastroBeats! Head to Bayfront Event Space from 29 May to 22 June 2025, where food, music, and sustainability come together. It’s the ideal spot to gather, indulge in delicious bites, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the festival.

🇸🇬 Singapore’s design story is heading to Milan!

From 8–13 April 2025, DesignSingapore Council presents 'Future Impact 3: DESIGN NATION' at Chiesa di San Bernardino alle Monache during Milan Design Week. This bold, three-part showcase celebrates SG60, highlighting how design shapes the nation’s past, present, and future.

Curated by Tony Chambers, Maria Cristina Didero, and Hunn Wai of Lanzavecchia + Wai, it brings together 14 of Singapore’s top designers—from established names to emerging talents. Expect innovative works presenting design-driven, sustainable, and human-centred responses to contemporary issues.

With creative voices like Claudia Poh (Werable), Sacha Leong (Nice Projects), and a collective led by FARM, Vouse, and Changi General Hospital, the exhibition promises a fresh take on design’s role in solving today’s challenges.
