Keep an eye out for this in the skies of Northern Ireland - when they say low flying - they mean really low flying!

Today we welcome the A400M to Aldergrove, which will be conducting a week of training, bringing personnel from 30 Sqn & 70 Sqn across to support this activity.

During the week the A400M crews plan to conduct Low Flying serials, so keep a lookout to see this impressive aircraft.

This is the place to be in Northern Ireland today if you love aviation! It’ll be busy, plan for some car park delays due to the popularity of this event ✈️

LONG CAR PARK QUEUES expected today! Please be patient.

Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday and we hope you really enjoyed your day out with your family and friends.

Due to the nature of the free event, there were 15-20min queues to get into car parks yesterday, but our Volunteer Car Parking Marshals got everyone through the floods from night before and into a spot, albeit with majority of people having to walk from our distant car parks on the old Runway area. Please expect the walk!

We also expect it to be EVEN BUSIER today from 10am Opening, so please be patient and expect a queue to get on site initially. It's worth it once you get here. Enjoy your day.

The APU at the back of the aircraft is essentially another jet engine which can be used to power the aircraft in different situations, such as when the aircraft is on the ground and not connected to ground power, with the main engines not running
