This week's Project at the Lab;
The INCREDIBLE 1/72 Scale "Dora" Railway gun by Hobby Boss.

Released initially in 2010 I was thrilled to get my hands on this kit for a decent price locally, and have plans for it involving an upcoming BitDeath Labs project!

The Dora railway gun was a massive artillery piece developed by N**i Germany during World War II. Named after Gustav Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach's wife, it was one of the largest guns ever built, weighing over 1,300 tons and capable of firing shells over 93 miles. Its purpose was to destroy heavily fortified targets, but its size and logistical challenges limited its effectiveness. Despite this, it remains a symbol of the engineering feats and the extremes of warfare during WWII.

I'll be dressing it up for an alternate history project where Germany never existed, and the Dora will have been designed by vestiges of the British Empire who, after a calamity takes the world by surprise, consolidates the power and resources of European monarchy under one flag. I will be dressing it as an Abandoned Bandit outpost, taken and built after the royals pulled off in fear of the coming threat.
