The much-awaited and prestigious LFC Awards 8 has been postponed to a later date. This 8th edition has been highly anticipated considering the immense success of the 7th edition. Many innovations were announced aimed at creating meaningful moments of celebration and exchange for filmmakers from around the world.

The official communiqué reads:

ACTION!🎬📽

Well, look what we have here guys! Edition 56 of your monthly film rendez-vous is here, jam-packed with edutainment as always. Let’s dive in, shall we?

In his editorial, our editor-in-chief Safindah Indah ponders on the Netflix phenomenon and what it brought to our industry. Was it a blessing, or just a poisoned apple that set us back? Read his article to find out more. Do you agree with his take? Let us know.

In our Close-Up section we take you into the life of Bichong O. Brian, this year’s recipient of the Best Actor Award at the Festival Ecrans Noirs. Get to know the man behind the win; his hopes, dreams, and motivations. You just might be inspired to stick to your plan and be patient.

Our Publisher E Ngwansi Buminang laments the fate of welfare on some sets in his article “Feed the Body that Makes the Film”. Is welfare just an after-thought in production planning? Should that be the case? Have you ever been on a set where your stomach growls were picked up by the boom mic? What could producers do better? Be sure to read it through.

Johson, the self-made filmmaker, in his own words, is the subject of our Focus segment. Read the article to find out how a musician fell in love with film and never looked back.

Frank Olivier Ndema’s "L’Ombre de la Vengeance” is the subject of this edition’s Behind the Scenes segment. Take a dive to see the ordeals the team went through to bring the project to fruition through various firsthand experiences.

Our Film Review segment closed this edition with Salem kedy filmaker’s “Prediction”, starring Lucie Memba BOS, Muriel Blanche. Buminang Elvis does an X-ray of the project, which deals with a theme that’s novel to our filmosphere. Have a read and tell us what you think. Do not forget to watch the movie through the link provided.

ACTION!!🎬📽

Hey guys! Receive warm greetings from Team BTM! It is always a pleasure to connect with you to share our monthly edutainment package. What do we have in store this time? Are you ready?

Our editorial kicks off the package with some clear words from our editor-in-chief. What really makes a story Cameroonian, authentic? Is there one “Cameroonian” story to the exclusion of others? Read Safindah Indah's piece titled “Our Stories; Our Realities” to find out more.

In a never before move, we bring you the Part II of our entretien with last edition’s guest, the esteemed Professor Fai Donatus, Director of Cinema at the Ministry of Arts and Culture. The exchange was so rich and informative we just had to bring you all of it. He touches on sensitive topics and places a mirror before filmmakers without fear or favour. This is one interview you do not want to miss.

In our Film Talks segment, E Ngwansi Buminang sheds some light who he calls the least liked person on any production; the sound man. Did you know that? Do you know why? Do you agree? Read his article titled “The Curse of The Sound Man” and then tell us what you think.

This time we focus on Derick N Lams as he tells us his journey into the world of movie dubbing. Read the article to find out how he stumbled, as it were, into the profession and has never looked back since. His story is one of rising above challenges and failure to find purpose.

What do you know about NgonNso? In our behind-the-scenes segment, we talk to director L Jones Bubu and his crew about the process of making Ngonso,The Documentary y Film. What were their challenges? Read to find out, and how they kept steadfast, laser-focused on achieving their goal. Watch out for NgonNso.

Nkanya Nkwai 's “A Good Time to Divorce”, produced by Lami Edie , makes its second appearance in our Film Review Segment. Is there really a good time to call it quits in a marriage? You will have to judge for yourselves after you watch the movie which is now available on YouTube through the link provided in the magazine.

As always, find the link to the magazine below. Read, comment and share extensively. Like and follow our page to stay updated on all things film.
