Captian Obvious

I did not make it through to the top 5 of the competition. But I sure won. I found long lost friends and family. They took the time and effort to vote. I’ve had conversations with folks that we’ve been out of touch for years.
A special appreciation to the number of you guys that paid for votes. So we helped a fine organization collect funds to help men and women further their culinary skills.
I could have been a contender!
As long as my family eats, I’ll cook.

One more day to vote, it appears I’m stuck in 6th place. The top five move on. No matter where I end up tomorrow, I’m sure blessed with so many friends and family that by voting, you showed me an appreciation I never realized how people stepped up to give me the opportunity to possibly compete.

Thanks for all the votes my friends and family and all their friends and family have cast. They have kept me in the competition and it’s been fun thinking about the possibilities this could do for me and my family. I’m presently in 6th place with around 2days of voting left. Fingers crossed only the top 5 will compete.

One more round, we got me through to the top ten and currently I am sticking at 6th place. Thank you all who have participated in each round. The level of excitement is growing each round. I am happy each time I see that another person has taken time out of their busy lives and voted. I read each comment and find a new friend of a friend. I only hope I don’t embarrass my friends and family. I know I won’t embarrass myself. Thanks again.

I have slipped into 6th in the top 15. Thanks again for the support in the competition, a couple weeks left and two rounds it appears to get into the top 5. Keep voting maybe we can get me in there.

I want thank everyone who took the time to vote. A lot of things can happen tonight. The voting ends tonight if you can please put your vote in. I will post the results as soon as I get them.

I mentioned that I had cancer, and that the hard regiment of chemotherapy, certainly not to get sympathy votes.
I just want to show my cooking talents haven’t changed, only my ability to operate a restaurant with the 24/7 needs. I will donate money to two places.

What ever the voting results on the efforts put in by my friends and family is putting out for me. I want to thank everyone that has taken the time and what trouble if any they encountered.
It was tough for my old self to get through some of my part. Hilda has helped.
The people who have connected with each other to get votes for me. They remind me that they remember a particular dish that they ordered every time they came to the restaurant. Makes me smile with pride.

We had Such a great time last night at McClain Bourbon Tasting. Great friends in the business wonderful food five great Bourbons to taste and wonderful foods to pair with each. Special thanks to LC May Grandson and name sake to Clyde May a fine line of Alabama Bourbons. A sold out event.
