GP's, Nurses, Dentists, Opticians, School Nurses - Volunteer for a day or half-day to help complete school medical checks.

Our Mission:
- Boost Student & Family Wellbeing
- Raise Health Awareness
- Strengthen School Community Partnerships
- Support the Health and Family Life Education (HFLE) curriculum.

Anyone seen Straw? I Just watched Tyler Perry’s Straw on Netflix. I held off at first—emotionally, I wasn’t ready. But tonight, I watched it. And wow.

This film is a raw, emotional reflection of the Black woman’s experience. It hit deep.( some sistas will say that is not my story!! I am genuinely pleased for you)

Tyler Perry says: Black women, I see you. I hear you.
And I felt that.

As a single Black woman in the UK, the pressure is constant. Although I am able to count my blessings. The struggle is real. For many —especially single mothers—this system was never designed for us. We are the most marginalised and least desirable and the least to get married.

What moved me the most and the best take away was the Sisterhood. When family fails us, we find each other.
Sista, I see you. I hear you. I am you.
Hold on. You are not alone.

Tribute to Alex Wheatle

Sista Chat Talk Show had the honor of interviewing Alex Wheatle, the celebrated author and British novelist, known as the “Brixton Bard.” Alex, an MBE and recipient of the Celebrity Award, sadly passed away on Sunday, 16th March 2025 after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.

In a memorable conversation, Alex shared his remarkable life story, his enduring influence, and insights into his work—many of which have been brought to life on British television. His journey will continue to inspire us and most recently through his dramatized novel Uprising, directed by Steve McQueen and broadcast on the BBC.
