MEDIA STATIONS.
Media stations are stations that are established to educate, inform, entertain, encourage good habit and discouraged bad ones.
Media station suppose to be neutral. That is, not to take side. Not to be bias or sentimental.
But in a situation whereby a media station is found guilty of being bias or sentimental, we can conclude that it is a sell out media station or unprofessional manpower has been employed in there to work purposely for someone's who selfish interest.
I'm saying this because I heard that one of the media stations in Adamawa State had a discussion on the gesture that governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri rendered to the flood victims at Maiduguri.
And in their conversations, they exhibited an ingratitude behavior by condemning His Excellency for giving only.
According to them, the governor suppose to give more than that because, Maiduguri State is his second state, reminiscing how he stayed up there for long and did business there before he became a governor.
Governor Fintiri actually contributed more than ₦50 million!
What about the speedboats? What about his prompt and swift response? He was the first to visit the flood victims.
His actions show wisdom and foresight. Knowing that his own state, Adamawa, is also vulnerable to floods, he immediately took proactive measures. He commissioned the construction of drainage systems and culverts in flood-prone areas, he provided life jackets and other essential tools to prepare for future floods.
This is true leadership, and he deserves commendation for his foresight and commitment.
Not condemnation.
Your condemnation and discouragement are pure ingrate, insane and uncultured. Non of you has spent his or her kobo to go to Maiduguri State to sympathize with the victims.
Non of them said that he or she has given a damn or more than what the governor has given. But you have the gut to sit in your luxury offices and condemned someone who has made an effort, showed concerned and loved to the victims?
They should have known right that everyone is given base on his or her own capability or what he or she has.
Besides, governor Fintiri was the first governor to sent flying boat ⛵ to help rescued the victims. Where were they when the sad news arrowed to everyone's ears?
MY SUGGESTION.
I'm suggesting and at the same time advising people to learn how to appreciate the little token that someone has sacrifice and willingly offer assistance to someone or to people.
And even if someone is there to speak as a propagandist, he or she should know how to present yourself and your expression so you shouldn't weaken someone's spirit of giving.
