Brooklyn native Paul Martini lived in Oakwood, Staten Island, with his wife, Lisa, and their young daughter. He traveled as far as Alaska and Canada to pursue his love of fishing and often skied on Washington’s Mount Rainier. A lieutenant with FDNY Engine Company 201, Martini planned to take his captain’s exam on September 15. On 9/11, Lieutenant Martini responded to the towers. He was 37 years old. Today we placed a white rose at his name on the to mark his 60th birthday.
