He was found alive after 25 days, floating alone in the vast open sea.

What a miracle!

Bosun Marjoy Quinto Yparraguirre, a seafarer from Surigao del Norte, went missing on April 25, 2025, while working aboard the MV STAR HELENA near the Fujairah-Hormuz Strait.

Due to heat and dizziness, he accidentally slipped into the water—unseen by anyone onboard.

No signal. No trace. Just prayers.

Then on May 19, a passing vessel spotted him—floating alone, weak, sunburned, but alive. It’s nothing short of a miracle.

25 days adrift.
25 days of prayer.
25 days of God’s grace.

Fujairah-Hormuz Strait lies between the coasts of Iran (to the north) and Oman/UAE (to the south).

So if someone falls overboard in this region, it’s open sea, heavily trafficked, but also extremely vast and dangerous due to heat, strong currents, and isolation. That's what makes Marjoy’s survival even more miraculous.

This is not just survival story. This is a testimony of faith. This is proof that God is in control of every storm.
