Farooq Ahmad Mir's life has been marked by hardship, orphaned at a young age and struggling with poverty. Despite these challenges, he built a humble life, working as a bank guard and later as a clerk in a private school.

Editor-in-Chief of Shopian Times Bereaved, Uncle Passes Away

Shopian, June 15: The maternal uncle of the Editor-in-Chief of Shopian Times, Shahid Manzoor, passed away on Saturday in a tragic road accident in Anantnag.

Fayaz Ahmad Seh, son of Ab Rehman Seh, a resident of Jadipora, Kulgam, succumbed to his injuries following the accident which occurred on Saturday afternoon on KP Road, Anantnag.

The deceased was the uncle of the Editor-in-Chief of Shopian Times. The entire team of Shopian journalists has expressed their heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the bereaved family, praying for the strength and courage to endure this profound loss.

They also prayed to Almighty Allah to grant forbearance to the family during this difficult time.

Today on 25/07/2023 CHC Rajpora under the esteemed leadership of worthy BMO Rajpora Dr Jawahira Madam performed first of its kind surgical procedure in District Pulwama . Patient was a 65 year old female with complete uterine prolapse(Procidentia).Patient was subjected to VAGINAL HYSTERECTOMY WITH ANTERIOPOSTERIOR COLPOPERINIORHAPHY.The team of surgeons consisted of Dr Adil Bashir,Dr Irshad kuchhay,Dr Waseeqa Nigeen,Dr Asgar Aziz.The anaesthetic support was provided by Dr Hanief (Consultant Anaesthesia) and Dr Mohsin Farooq.The OT team included Mr Farooq ,Mr Hial,Miss Rosy,Showkat and Mushtaq Ahmad.The entire logistic support was provided by worthy BMO Rajpora Dr Jawahira Madam. The said procedure was first of its kind done in a CHC.Meanwhile a 20 year old female was subjected to emergency appendicectomy which was a step in the dirrection to start emergency procedures in CHC Rajpora
