Rainbow Mountain aka Montaña de Siete Colores 🌈🏔 5,200m + 4km hike

This was probably the most challenging thing I’ve ever done physically…a true “I came, I saw, I conquered!” ✌🏾

Coming from basically sea level in Va Beach 3meters to 5,200meters…I felt all of the altitude…almost quit a few times, the incline is intense!! The views were absolutely stunning, definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Such a simple metaphor about the journey of life: You really don’t know what you can accomplish until you try, even when it’s easier to quit…I’m gonna keep trying because life is wayyyyyy better outside my comfort zone, no matter the challenges/sacrifices!! 💕

Luckily I didn’t get altitude sickness (just exhausted from 2 hikes back to back)- thanks to LOTS of water, coca tea, coca candy & a natural oil mix that helps you intake oxygen faster🙌🏽 *they also have oxygen available which might not be a bad thing to keep in your bag, saw folks with it and definitely made a difference*

Highly recommend taking the horse ride, since the tour is on a time schedule and you actually want to enjoy the top of the mountain. An extra S90/$22 is 100% worth it! They have horses all along the hike so you can get one if needed and not just at the beginning.
