The World Games 2022 Birmingham will be an extraordinary Olympic-style sports experience where elite athletes from all over the world compete for gold in 34 unique, multi-disciplinary sports. Featuring 3,600 athletes from more than 100 countries, the international event will unite global fans with the Birmingham community in more than 20 unique venues around the greater metropolitan area.
Ju-Jitsu will be part of the Games with 96 athletes in 3 disciplines:
Jiu-Jitsu (Ne-Waza, BJJ), 8 medal events
Men -69kg, -77kg, -85kg, Open weight
Women -48kg, -57kg, -63kg, Open weight
Fighting-System 8 medal events
men -62kg, -69kg, -77kg, -85kg
Women -48kg, -57kg, -63kg, -70kg
Duo-System mixed 1 medal event
Mixed Team Event. 1 medal event
The World Games 2022 Birmingham, which marks the 40th anniversary of the event, will take place from 07-17 July 2022. The World Games was established by the International World Games Association, an organization recognized by the International Olympic Committee.
