A Spoiler Driven Anthology Series

25/04/2021

What happens when you can’t take the stairs?

Our final episode is titled Hot Wheels!

This episode was written and directed by Erin Kyan! He’s created an incredibly heart-wrenching story about two wheelchair users who get trapped in an elevator. This episode is so tragic and too real - a fictional story that’s fully rooted in reality.

Alice Wong is Waverly, a cheerful and outgoing person who tries to make the best of getting stuck in an elevator. Alice is both incredibly good in this role and incredibly good at making me cry in this role.

This episode was sound designed by Tal Minear with original music by Trace Callahan. Trace did something so cool with the music in the episode - it breaks when the elevator does. And I had a great time sound designing the saddest piece of audio fiction I’ve ever worked on.

They call it a speakeasy, but some things are too hard to say...

In our tenth episode, some things are spoken, some things are not, some people live, and some people die. It's titled The Cop, the Clerk, and The Body!

This episode was written by Evan Tess Murray, who brings their trademark "so many feelings!" and, of course, does it wonderfully. I love Evan's script so much!

Rashika Rao is Maryanne, part of a family with very different ideas about what you should do when you find a body in the elevator. I love how they play off of each other!

This episode was directed by Tal Minear! (Hi, I'm the one typing this right now!) I had the best time directing Evan's script and working with a whole host of wonderful actors.

Sound designed by Brad Colbrook with music by
Trace Callahan! Brad masterfully handled different soundscapes for each floor the elevator visits, and Trace sings in this episode! Both do AMAZING work in this episode!

In our ninth episode, titled Legend, Brad gets a close-up look at the True Crime podcasts he's so fond of. This episode will make you laugh as much as it makes you cringe, and it contains one of the most love-to-hate-them characters.

This episode was written by Caroline Mincks! They've taken the all too familiar moment of being stuck in an elevator with someone awful and expanded it into a whole story! I can't guarantee it'll end the way you want it to, but I found the ending quite... legendary.

Chad Ellis is Brad, a man who does not care about where he's going and wants to spend time getting to know a stranger. For as nice as he is, Chad plays a magnificent as***le, and I love what he brought to the role!

This episode was directed by Evan Tess Murray, who did such a great job with Caro's script! Evan truly brought Legend to another level! (Elevator pun only sort of intended)

Legend was sound designed by Cole Burkheart with original music by Trace Callahan! I love what these two did with this episode - they played with the underlying tension of the story so well and brought it to a really satisfying conclusion!

Wise men at their end know dark is right, but these men will face the night. Our eighth episode is I Won't Go Gently, and it takes you somewhere entirely unexpected...

Unlocked @ 70% if you donate $5+!

Written and directed by Samy Souissi. I have never seen narration so well done in audio fiction. He's built a magical world full of twists and turns, and I can't wait for you to experience this episode!

I Won't Go Gently features Jose Nateras as Xavi, reckless adventurer who likes to play the odds. Faced with his death, Xavi will gamble one last time... Jose brings such a human element to Xavi, and I adore his performance!

Sound designed by Tal Minear with dialogue editing by Talon Stradley! I had the best time sound designing Samy's script - there was so much to play with between the setting (glass elevator in space!) and the events that take place (a fight scene? maybe!)

This episode also features music by Trace Callahan They completely blew me away with their score full of subtle touches and incredibly emotional moments! The way the score plays off the narration in this episode is really something else.

Have you ever had a bad date and thought: “Ugh, kill me now?” Pinnacle of Passion Dating Service is here for you.

Unlocked @ 60% if you donate $5+!

Written by Ryan James Horner and Adam Berges! They brought a surprisingly romantic take to elevator death.

David Hanna is Ezekiel, who has decided to try out the Pinnacle of Passion dating service in a last-ditch attempt to find love.

Directed by Colin J. Kelly, Sound Designed by Brad Colbrook who did an amazing job bringing this elevator dating service to life, and Ali Hylton composed 5 whole songs for the episode!

In South of Palenque, some stone doors aren't meant to be opened, and some ropes aren't meant to be pulled...

Written by Andrew Sianez-De La O, who created an exciting and meaningful episode about the consequences of thoughtless exploration. This story is so good and also incredibly satisfying, and I can't wait for everyone to hear it.

Felix Trench gives an amazing performance as an excitable and egoistical professor, far too wrapped up in his legacy to consider what the consequences might be. Felix makes me laugh just as much as he makes me groan in this role.

This episode was directed by Colin J. Kelly and sound designed and scored by Tal Minear. Colin did such a great job directing and I am really proud of my sound design on this one.

Unlocks at 30% funded for all who $5+ to enter the elevator for early access!

In A S**t Show, things start off bad and then they get worse.

Written, directed and sound designed by Cole Burkheart, they created a dramatic and stunning episode about a failing relationship. Cole wrote "futuristic elevator on the outside of a building during a planetary storm" and then DELIVERED.

Wes Haas is Ralie, and handles the complicated nature of Ralie brilliantly.

This episode features music by Anthonius Fuller II, which added such a layer of heartbreak to this story.

Unlocks for all of us At 20% funded for all who $5+ to enter the elevator for early access!

In Let The Elevator Die, a sound lock protects a secret that must be uncovered. But be careful - holding on to the past too hard can have consequences.

Let The Elevator Die was written by Landon Beall! This is a really exciting episode that takes place on a very fun elevator. I didn’t expect to get so close to adventure-movie mayhem in our first season, but Landon took us there!

Lindsay Zana is Lao, an explorer from the Ovalek Dominion of Realms who is determined to open a vault two miles underground. Lindsay gives an AMAZING performance - you can feel how badly Lao wants to open this vault, consequences be damned.

This episode was directed by Ryan James Horner! Yep, not all of our episodes were directed by the script writers!

Ali Hylton's music and Colin J. Kelly's sound design truly brought this episode to another level.

$5+ to enter the elevator for early access!

In The Board Meeting, drastic measures are taken to avoid a stressful presentation.

It was written and directed Brad Colbrook!

Bill Sunderland plays Winston, experienced architect and (usually) cheerful coworker! Bill’s performance is amazing - somehow he manages to be reassuring and unsettling at the same time.

This episode was sound designed by Brad Colbrook and scored by Anna Rodriguez! The two of them do some very neat tricks that make this episode an exciting listening experience - but I cannot talk about those tricks without spoiling the episode. You should just listen!

When we hit 50% funded, we'll be releasing our sixth episode to all supporters with early access ($5 and up tiers)! In Most Secure Vault, someone makes a deposit, but the withdrawal has an unexpected bang.

Most Secure Vault was written by Colin J. Kelly! This episode is incredibly fun and exciting - it's a mini action movie in audio drama form, and a real treat to listen to.

Most Secure Vault also features Chijioke Williams as Gedeon, a suave and smooth-talking woman who's at the bank to open an account... and maybe do a few other things. I adore Chi's performance, which makes us fall in love with the character even though she's definitely hiding something.

This episode also features Ben Meredith as Elkan, bank manager who's maybe too proud of all the security measures in place. Ben gives an amazing performance as the friendly and likeable Elkan, entirely confident until he's not - when the rugs gets pulled out from under him.

Most Secure Vault also has cameos by Travis Vengroff as Gilgamesh and Sarah Rhea Werner as the elevator! Travis and Sarah both did amazing with their small parts, and I'm so excited they're in this episode!

This episode was directed by Evan Tess Murray, who did a fantastic job working with Chi and Ben to bring the script to life!

Most Secure Vault features music by Ali Hylton and sound design by Tal Minear! I love the music that Ali composed - it brought my sound design to a whole other level and made an already-exciting episode even more thrilling!

Our fifth episode, South of Palenque, features Felix Trench as The Professor! Felix gives an amazing performance as an excitable and egoistical professor, far too wrapped up in his legacy to consider what the consequences might be. Felix makes me laugh just as much as he makes me groan in this role.

This episode also features Andrew Siañez-De La O as Manny, tour guide to The Professor and quite possibly more than that. Andrew gives a stunning performance - there's a moment in this episode that gives us chills every time, and it's all Andrew's fault.

This episode was directed by Colin J. Kelly and sound designed and scored by Tal Minear (a real executive producer team up on this one)! They've done fantastic work for this episode!

NEW CAST & CREW ANNOUNCEMENTS!

A S**t Show features Elissa Park as Athena! Athena is many things, from romantic to no-nonsense - they're trying their best, but it just might not be good enough. I ADORE Elissa's performance in this intricate role!

Our fourth episode also features Wes Haas as Ralie, a relatable character who we're not too sure if we should root for or not. Wes handles the complicated nature of Ralie brilliantly, and I LOVE what they brought to this role!

A S**t Show features sound design by Cole Burkhardt! The atmosphere of this elevator is truly something else. Cole wrote "futuristic elevator on the outside of a building during a planetary storm" and then DELIVERED. If you're going WHAT??? - yeah, me too, friends. It's good.

This episode features music by Anthony Carlos Fuller II, which added such a layer of heartbreak to this story. It was also directed by Cole Burkhardt!

Our third episode, Let The Elevator Die, was written by Landon Beall! This is a really exciting episode that takes place on a very fun elevator. We didn’t expect to get so close to adventure-movie mayhem in our first season, but Landon took us there!

Let The Elevator Die features Lindsay Zana as Lao, an explorer from the Ovalek Dominion of Realms who is determined to open a vault two miles underground. Lindsay gives an AMAZING performance - you can feel how badly Lao wants to open this vault, consequences be damned.

This episode also features Cait Gallagher as Jad, a fellow explorer who is excellent at puzzle solving. Jad wants this vault open just as badly as Lao does, but her reasons are a little different. Cait is INCREDIBLE in this role - I can't say how without spoilers, but trust me!

This episode also features Sahar Iman as Pri! Pri used to be an explorer from the Ovalek Dominion of Realms, but their allegiance may have ssshifted... Sahar brings this complicated character to life in a FANTASTIC way that had me on the edge of my seat throughout the episode!
