A Spoiler Driven Anthology Series

25/04/2021

What happens when you can’t take the stairs?

Our final episode is titled Hot Wheels!

This episode was written and directed by Erin Kyan! He’s created an incredibly heart-wrenching story about two wheelchair users who get trapped in an elevator. This episode is so tragic and too real - a fictional story that’s fully rooted in reality.

Alice Wong is Waverly, a cheerful and outgoing person who tries to make the best of getting stuck in an elevator. Alice is both incredibly good in this role and incredibly good at making me cry in this role.

This episode was sound designed by Tal Minear with original music by Trace Callahan. Trace did something so cool with the music in the episode - it breaks when the elevator does. And I had a great time sound designing the saddest piece of audio fiction I’ve ever worked on.

They call it a speakeasy, but some things are too hard to say...

In our tenth episode, some things are spoken, some things are not, some people live, and some people die. It's titled The Cop, the Clerk, and The Body!

This episode was written by Evan Tess Murray, who brings their trademark "so many feelings!" and, of course, does it wonderfully. I love Evan's script so much!

Rashika Rao is Maryanne, part of a family with very different ideas about what you should do when you find a body in the elevator. I love how they play off of each other!

This episode was directed by Tal Minear! (Hi, I'm the one typing this right now!) I had the best time directing Evan's script and working with a whole host of wonderful actors.

Sound designed by Brad Colbrook with music by
Trace Callahan! Brad masterfully handled different soundscapes for each floor the elevator visits, and Trace sings in this episode! Both do AMAZING work in this episode!

In our ninth episode, titled Legend, Brad gets a close-up look at the True Crime podcasts he's so fond of. This episode will make you laugh as much as it makes you cringe, and it contains one of the most love-to-hate-them characters.

This episode was written by Caroline Mincks! They've taken the all too familiar moment of being stuck in an elevator with someone awful and expanded it into a whole story! I can't guarantee it'll end the way you want it to, but I found the ending quite... legendary.

Chad Ellis is Brad, a man who does not care about where he's going and wants to spend time getting to know a stranger. For as nice as he is, Chad plays a magnificent as***le, and I love what he brought to the role!

This episode was directed by Evan Tess Murray, who did such a great job with Caro's script! Evan truly brought Legend to another level! (Elevator pun only sort of intended)

Legend was sound designed by Cole Burkheart with original music by Trace Callahan! I love what these two did with this episode - they played with the underlying tension of the story so well and brought it to a really satisfying conclusion!

Wise men at their end know dark is right, but these men will face the night. Our eighth episode is I Won't Go Gently, and it takes you somewhere entirely unexpected...

Unlocked @ 70% if you donate $5+!

Written and directed by Samy Souissi. I have never seen narration so well done in audio fiction. He's built a magical world full of twists and turns, and I can't wait for you to experience this episode!

I Won't Go Gently features Jose Nateras as Xavi, reckless adventurer who likes to play the odds. Faced with his death, Xavi will gamble one last time... Jose brings such a human element to Xavi, and I adore his performance!

Sound designed by Tal Minear with dialogue editing by Talon Stradley! I had the best time sound designing Samy's script - there was so much to play with between the setting (glass elevator in space!) and the events that take place (a fight scene? maybe!)

This episode also features music by Trace Callahan They completely blew me away with their score full of subtle touches and incredibly emotional moments! The way the score plays off the narration in this episode is really something else.

Have you ever had a bad date and thought: “Ugh, kill me now?” Pinnacle of Passion Dating Service is here for you.

Unlocked @ 60% if you donate $5+!

Written by Ryan James Horner and Adam Berges! They brought a surprisingly romantic take to elevator death.

David Hanna is Ezekiel, who has decided to try out the Pinnacle of Passion dating service in a last-ditch attempt to find love.

Directed by Colin J. Kelly, Sound Designed by Brad Colbrook who did an amazing job bringing this elevator dating service to life, and Ali Hylton composed 5 whole songs for the episode!
