Hajre Aswad is a black stone that is engraved in the southeast wall of the Kabaah. There are different narrations that give a different account of the background of the stone and its placement in the wall of Kaabah.

Regardless of the different narratives, the importance and respect of the stone remains the same and it enjoys the same level of sanctity and sacredness in all the narratives.

Out of the different narratives, the most significant and the most authentic one is the narrative of Hajre Aswad being a stone from Jannah that was installed in Kabaah by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and His son Hazrat Ismail (AS).

According to the narration, when Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and His son started construction of Kabah on the order of Allah Almighty as a place of worship and sanctity, they were a stone short in the building of the walls. Thus, upon this Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) ordered His son to go and look for a stone that could fit in the gap in order to complete the construction of the holy place.

Hazrat Ismail (AS) went in search of the stone, but after a while when He could not find any suitable rock. and came back to His father and saw that a rock was already placed in the empty space, upon which He asked His father about the stone, regarding which Hazrat Ibrahim replied that it was delivered to Him by Garbriel. Thus this narrative proves that Hajre Aswad is a heavenly stone.

Pertaining to its heavenly origin and its true color, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said in one of His hadiths:

“The Black stone descended from paradise, and it was more white than milk, then it was blacked by this sins of the children of Adam.” (Tirmidhi)

This hadith proves that Hajre Aswad is a stone that came from paradise, and it was originally in pure white state, which then started, turning black with the progression in the increasing sins of humankind.

It was Ramadan 17, two years after the Hijrah when the famous Badr War took place. This means that the Battle of Badr took place in the same year when Muslims fasted during the month of Ramadan for the first time. The Muslim army had only 313 men, while the armies of Abū Jahl and Abū Lahab (Quraysh) had more than 1300 invaders.

The battle of Badr, which took place directly on the 17th of Ramadan, was also the first war that Muslims had to experience. The reason for this was to stop a cavalcade of Quraysh, which carried their merchandise from Levant (modern-day Syria). The goods were made by the wealth of the Muslims who had been taken from them when they were forced to leave their homes to migrate to Madinah.

Among the houses of Umm ul Momineen, Muhammad SAW chosen Ayesha's House to spent last hours of his life, because she was really close to Prophet Muhammad SAW or you can say she's the most 'Ladli' entity in Prophet Muhammad SAW life.

She bore with the toughest of time, hunger and poverty along with Prophet Muhammad SAW, as for days on no fire would be lit in the Prophet's House. For cooking and baking bread they would live merely on Dates and Water for days, and she went through all without facing any distress because she loved Prophet Muhammad SAW the most.

She's the only wife, for whom Allah Almighty revealed dedicated verses of Holy Quran in a subsequent quranic revelation asserted her innocence and gauging her modesty.

Today, on 17th Ramadan, marks the death anniversary of the mother of all believers, the daughter of beloved friend of Prophet Muhammad SAW and First Calipha of Islam Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique RA and the dearest wife of Muhammad SAW - Umm ul Momineen Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa RA.

She's a symbol of knowledge, character and faithfulness for all mankind, May Allah bless us to follow the teaching of our Mother Hazrat Ayesha e Siddiqa RA. Ameen

Captained by the legendary Imran Khan, Pakistan defeated Graham Gooch's England in the final by 22 runs at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Winning the toss, Pakistan put up a decent 249/6 as, following the early dismissal of openers Aamer Sohail and Ramiz Raja, Imran Khan (72) and Javed Miandad (58) revived the batting and were later supported by Inzamam-ul Haq (42) and Wasim Akram (33).

Derek Pringle picked three wickets for England. In reply, England kept losing wickets on regular intervals as player of the match Wasim Akram and Mushtaq Ahmed picked up three wickets apiece. Aaqib Javed took two wickets.

Ultimately, England were folded out for 227 runs.

Prior to the final, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by four wickets. It was thanks to the heroic effort of young Inzaman (60 off 37 balls) that Pakistan chased down the target with an over to spare. In the other semi-final, England beat South Africa by 19 runs.
