You don't need $100 million dollars to make a difference, improve your business, or give your gifts to those who need them.

I just saw that the Kelce brothers signed for $100 million dollars with Wondery, Amazon's podcasting network. Joe Rogan got that much just a few years ago for a 10 year deal (his new one is worth a lot more). These guys got it in a three year deal.

How do you react to news like this? Your answer says a lot about your mindset.

Some will see it and say "The rich get richer" with jealousy. They don't think such a deal is possible for them or their show. They are chronically stuck and happily so.

Others will see this deal and say "See, there is still abundant opportunity in podcasting!"

Many won't even try to build something worthy of investing in.

My first thought when I saw the Kelce news was "Good for them!" The second thought was, podcasting is a growing industry still, though it's clearly changing.

Then a friend reminded me that money doesn't change value, it's just a representation of it.

Are you bringing value to your audience? Are you willing to try to bring more? If you do what you can and grow a little every day, your influence will grow.

There a lot of things people suggest to grow your show. But start with this one hack.

1. Brainstorm 3-5 topics you can speak to, that you enjoy talking about.

2. Research adjacent shows (similar, but different-than-yours) that you could reach out to. Ask them to be on your show or suggest a guest swapping with them.

3. Be a good guest with good stories and you will gain new listeners!

Not really!

Think about who your ideal listener is and what problems they have. Then develop a free guide or ebook that helps guide them towards solving their problem. Then talk about it regularly on your show!

OR save some juicy or high value content for your newsletter and tease it on your show regularly. Direct them to your website to sign up and get the info in the newsletter.

OR do a giveaway! If they sign-up for your newsletter, they get entered into a drawing to wear a pair of Beats Headphones or something fun! It doesn't need to cost too much but something that your ideal listener would enjoy.

And BOOM! You are well on your way to a podcast marketing email list!

But remember...you have to PROMOTE your freebie. Talk about it everywhere and often?
