I caught a 22 lb snapper a week ago. It was a fun day out, and an absolute relief to catch some good snapper. Even though I have caught a couple of snapper in the 20+ range, it has been very difficult to find keeper snapper in the Gulf. I’m starting to worry about their population. Are you seeing the same thing? I think we might want to close the season early this year and let them bounce back.
