You need to know your target audience.

Target audience profile is simply a specific group of customers most likely to respond positively to your promotions, products, and services.

You can define your target audience based on their age, location, gender and even what they are interested in.

For example, if you are selling male wears, there is a good chance that you can appeal to men who can afford your products and are in the location you can ship to.

Knowing your target audience is important because what might appeal to someone may not appeal to the other.

So to run a successful marketing campaign it is important to know your target audience.

Do you have an alternative, should Uncle Mark decide to shut down your business Instagram account?

I talked about how Uncle Mark may decide to shut down your account without prior notice yesterday. Social Media is a rented space, Go and ask President Trump. Jack shock am, lol.

If the unexpected happens, the only hope you have left is your mail list.
Stop closing deals in the DM, though it might be the most convenient means of communication for you, but learn to ask for their email addresses.

For example, You can tell them you want to send them an invoice via email for record purpose.

Though there are different methods in which you can collect their email addresses, trust me, this is the simplest way.

So after collecting these addresses what next? You should start sending them promotional newsletters, company news, tips and tricks, depending on your products or service.

The good thing is you can send newsletters via your mobile phone using the MailChimp mobile app.

Don't forget to have a strategy in place and remember not to be too spammy, else you will start receiving unsubscribe notice.

Few weeks ago, while I was doing my normal waka waka on IG, I saw a curious business owner asking why people are not buying from her.

The question really caught my attention, so I meticulously audited her bio and feed, sincerely she is consistent with her posting but one thing is, I couldn’t figure out what she’s selling.
------
In order to make sales and attract the right audience on Instagram, your account must stand out, from your bio to your feed.

Your Instagram bio is just like your website homepage, you must not abandon it.
The way you want people to feel when they visit your home is how you should make them feel when they visit your Instagram profile.

Your bio is the first thing people see when they visit your profile, mere looking at your bio, they should know what your business is all about.

Finally, you should have a content strategy in place. Don’t just post whatever you feel like posting.

Know the right content to post at the right time and don’t forget to put the right hashtag strategy in place.

So a few weeks ago, while discussing with my friend, he told me how he got 6 paying clients with his business page with only 150 followers, yes!

You heard right, 150 followers. Also about 2 months ago, I met with the CEO of a company, as at then, they had close to 5000 followers but no sales nor prospects, not even an enquiry.
