BARANGAY TAYTAY MOURNS FOR HELP
AS 193 HOUSEHOLDS ARE FORCED TO BE RELOCATED

BAGGAO, CAGAYAN-Baranggay Captain of Taytay, Gemma Bangayan urged everyone to help them as almost 232 families in 193 households are in need to be relocated as they suffered from continuous landslide brought by the typhoon Ulysses on Nov. 13.

Bangayan said that the whole Taytay Bantay is slowly fading and their houses are not safe anymore where some were even devastated already.

“Humihingi talaga kami ng tulong kasi as in hindi na namin alam kung saan kami kakapit, may mga pondo naman pero kulang na kulang yung calamity fund para sa pagrerelocate ng mga residente namin dito, kaylangan na kaylangan talaga namin ng tulong niyo,” Brgy. Captain said in a phone interview today.

According to her, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) said that almost 50 percent of Taytay or even the whole Taytay Bantay will vanish.

Moreover, she said that she was so thankful to the Parokia San Jose Mangmangged as they promised to provide 5 houses for the families that are to be relocated.

She also said that the relocation will be tackled tomorrow in their meeting together with Mayor Joan Cabildo Dunuan.

On the other hand, 143 families are still evacuated in Taytay Elementary School from Nov.14 until now.

“Pagkain palang nga ng mga evacuees eh kulang na kulang na, ano pa kaya yung pagpapatayo ng mga bahay para sa mga marerelocate,” Brgy. Captain said.

SB BAGGAO, REQUESTS AID FROM CIBAC

BAGGAO, CAGAYAN-Sangguniang Bayan of Baggao passed a resolution during their regular session on November 18 , 2020.

Resolution No. 172.S.2020 requesting the Hon. Bro. Eddie Cruz Villanueva, CIBAC Partylist representative for three(3) units ambulances and three (3) units of rubber boats to be used during emergency hours.

During their regular session Hon. Rowel B. Gazmen , Presiding Officer informed the SB members the need to have more ambulance and rubber boats for the municipality.

Due to financial incapacity of the LGU to address such facilities , the Sangguniang Bayan ,thru the chair agreed that a resolution be adopted requesting the good CIBAC Representative Hon. Bro. Eddie Cruz Villanueva for the provision of above facilities.

Those facilities will be use by the three (3) cluster of Baggao which is Poblacion , San Jose , and Tallang.

According to the Baggaoeños this will surely help the municipality.

The said resolution was signed by Hon. Jose B. Garcia , Secretary of the Sanggunian and Hon. Rowel B. Gazmen , Vice Mayor.

TIGNAN: Kinukumpuni na ng mga kasamahan nina Engineer Jenison Herrera at Director Willie Gaspar ang natumbang poste ng koryente sa Sitio Tueg, Bitag Grande ngayong araw, Nobyembre 19. Matatandaang nasira ito dahil sa pagguho ng lupa sanasabing lugar.

Ayon kay Dir. Gaspar, maaaring ito na ang huling araw ng rotational brownout sa Baggao sakaling makumpuni ang nasabing poste.

JUST IN: Dir. Willie Gaspar confirmed electric supply will be restored anytime today.
It was also stated that it might happen between 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Unfortunately, electric supply will only restored up to Barangay Dalla, other Barangays will be the next target.
