I just wanted to post a quick message to share the great news. This morning I learned that “Brown Girls Do It All” was just selected as a 2025 Winner of the Golden Wizard Book Prize. This is the second international recognition for this book. It also won the 2024 International Impact Book Award and this won me a nomination for their Author of the Year.

This book seems to be blessing the lives of so many people and I love that people all over the world are recognizing its impact. This could only be possible with the support of all of you! Happy Juneteenth!
As we celebrate the end to the most heinous act in human history, the American slave trade… we revel in our FREEDOM. We celebrate the survival of our struggle, the sacrifices of our ancestors, and the continued warrior spirit of our people. Today is our Jubilee Day and Juneteenth is a reminder that our freedoms were not and are not free. They were paid for in blood and to keep them, we must continue to fight. But today you should rest, recharge, and remember. Happy Juneteenth from your family here at Lou’s BluBooks!
