Opposition MP Andrej Kosi and several media outlets claimed so in May, citing preliminary Eurostat data. But final figures released on June 6 tell a more complete story.

📊 While Slovenia’s GDP did decline by 0.8% in Q1, it wasn’t the lowest in the eurozone or the EU—Luxembourg saw a sharper drop, and other countries also reported contractions.
