Sadly we're heading home today but thankfully we don't fly until later on tonight so decided to get some last minute exploring done. We topped off our week of exceptional weather with a visit to Spandau, stopping off half way to see the amazing Olympiastadion! What an amazingly historic and iconic building! 🤯🇩🇪

In Spandau we took a stroll through Old Spandau and over to Spandau Citadel for a look around. Despite the no photography policy, I copied everyone else at the top of the tower in taking a few photos of the amazing views across the town. 🤩☀️🧡

I'm so glad we managed to visit so many wonderful places over the past week. Unfortunately, it's now time for us to head home back to stormy Manchester and over the pennines, setting out watches back 40 years to Selby time. 🙃👎🏼🇬🇧

Following our quick trip to Haribo, we made the most of our last day by briefly visiting Alexander Platz and Rotes Rathaus as well as taking a relaxing river cruise down the Spree! 🛥️🧡🦧🇩🇪

Our river cruise was with Reederei Hadynski () and it was absolutely excellent. We were spoilt for choice when it came to boat rides in the lovely weather but this one was excellent. The English & German live commentary from the gentleman on the boat was very good and informative. It also had table service which was very reasonably priced! We highly recommend it! If you have the Berlin WelcomeCard, you'd also be eligible for a discount like we were! ☀️😎

After a busy day, Mandy and I have dropped into Peter Pane on Friedrichstraße for a burger and some cocktails. We love the food and drink in Peter Pane so wanted to visit before we head back home. Cheers! 🍔🍹

We visited the Haribo shop this morning. They have some very cool Haribo merch and it's great seeing all the German options available. They golden bear plushies were all very nice! 🥰🐻🍬

Today was our last full day in Berlin which is bitterly disappointing but at least we have most of the day tomorrow before we head back to Manchester. Wouldn't wish that on anybody... 😂✌🏼
