Greyscale was launched in 2012 by Lithuanian producer and DJ grad_u, and photographer Rima
Prusakova, set up as a platform for material from grad_u and close friends whilst Prusakova’s
b/w analogue photography provides the visual identity of the label.

A quick reminder that we’re hosting a listening party for grad_u’s “Laukiu Rytojaus” today.

May 7 — 8 PM (Vilnius time).

The full release will be available to hear during the session. A 10% discount will also be active across our Bandcamp during the event.

Pre-orders are still open, including the vinyl dubplate edition. Individually numbered copies for collectors, available to order during the pre-order period only.

Today we’re releasing a record that is very important to us.

It goes back to the very beginning. This release marks the start of grad_u’s journey into dub techno, and is closely tied to the early days that later grew into Greyscale.

An early grad_u record, his second ever, recorded 20 years ago, at the very beginning of what would later become a recognisable sound.

“Laukiu Rytojaus” is a restrained, introspective work. Less focused on rhythm and more on atmosphere, space and feeling, it already holds the foundations of his later music and reflects the direction that would continue to develop over the years.

The release is now available on Bandcamp, both digitally and as a vinyl dubplate edition. Individually numbered copies for collectors. Pre-orders are open for the next 7 days. No more than 50 copies will be made.

Bandcamp Friday is a great moment for this release, with all proceeds going directly to the artist and label. Thank you for being part of this.
