The third release from the trio is COMBAT STANCE. A very raw, home recorded demo from 1990 featuring some of the earliest WMHC to come from the Berkshire County area. Features Barnes and Hathaway (later of Wish) along with Steve Peluis and Chris Hill.

Matt Barnes Catalog drop #5. First off, let me tell you that the Wish stuff isn't quite ready to go yet, but should be soon, along with some live Outlet and Wish. And at some point I have to transfer the vinyl of Guilt Lust and Seppuku to really get it all out there for you, BUT...

Let me tell you how incredibly excited I am to drop this album by OUTLET. The importance of this album and band to the Berkshire County, Massachusetts scene and to me in general is extreme. After the band Wish evolved their punk sound to an old school hardcore punk sound and changed their name to Outlet, they became one of the first if not THE first hardcore band in the area along with Gridlock and Red Brigade. Outlet's "Bad Town" tape circulated through the county and beyond gripping a ton of kids and started an evolving hardcore and punk scene here in the Berkshires.

The band included Matt Barnes (whose catalog we've been featuring recently), Justin Markou (Bloodwar, PUSHBUTTON WARFARE and WITHSTAND) and Jay Hathaway (Drawn Out). All icons in the local scene.

This album is still as catchy and great as ever and I am thinking it will get some new fans through this release. It should have never slid in to the shadows like It did. This band and album are of HUGE importance and deserve to be out there. Enjoy!
