Film: Bambi The Reckoning 🦌
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

Review: I know I say this about every single Poohniverse movie but I am incredibly surprised this movie isn't a steaming pile of deer s**t. Bambi: The Reckoning is a legit creature feature. It really gave me Lake Placid/Anaconda vibes its definitely a throwback to the monster flicks of the 90s.

Which of course I enjoyed I also enjoyed that this movie doesn't really care about a plot nor does it take 45 minutes to flesh out the human characters nobody cares about. I like that Bambi: The Reckoning knows what audiences came for and that's some deer murdering madness and in my opinion this movie delivers.

Bambi The Reckoning is action packed and entertaining and Bambi looks like an absolute beast and for a cheaply made B- movie the CGI work on Bambi actually doesn't look half bad. I'm actually interested in seeing this character again and seeing what else happens next in the Twisted Childhood Universe.

However this movie does feel like it's "Speed running" a horror movie it literally takes no time to let you breathe or take in the atmosphere of the movie. Which leads me to believe that Bambi The Reckoning is a placeholder movie. It's a movie made to quickly introduce this character and hold fans of the series over until we get Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble the big Twisted Childhood Universe film that all these films have been leading up to.
