Sara Seymour, a former Life Skills teacher at Brown Elementary in Brownsburg, along with four other educators at the school, were criminally charged in April after law enforcement alleged that they instructed a 7-year-old special education student to consume his own vomit during a lunch period in February 2023.
The child vomited on his tray and Sara allegedly provided him with a spoon and forced him to eat it. Debra Kanipe, 63, an instructional aide, was charged with "neglect of a dependent" and failure to report in connection to the incident. Julie Taylor, 48; Kristen Mitchell, 38; and Megan King, 24, were all charged with misdemeanor failure to report. Sara has surrendered her Indiana teachers license and was fired as soon as the incident occurred.
I sincerely hope they are made to eat their own vomit in prison.
