After listening to pleas from citizens, the City Council decided to continue on their path of bigotry. Their decision increased city cost while alienating the next generation. Remember Candidate filing for 2026 is May 4-8, 2026.

The vote took place after a heated public comment time in which citizens voiced frustration with council members who they feel are showing animus toward minority groups

This is wild when bigotry overwhelms common sense in East Wenatchee. The Inclusion banners were provided by non profits at zero cost to the city. There was even talk of covering the labor costs for the project. But because a minority of the council want to remove any welcoming token for the LGBTQ+ community they would rather spend thousands of dollars and white wash the community. If you want to speak up or watch the spectacle up close then Tuesday’s your chance.

Yes, ICE is here in our community and they are not taking the worst of the worst. Here they grabbed Elsy during a scheduled check in. She and her son were following the legal process which highlights the organizations thoughts on law and community. We are left with empty holes where friends and families once were. We can do better as a nation.

US Farm Bankruptcies increased 46% in 2025.

The American Farm Bureau Federation’s Samantha Ayoub reported that “the U.S. Courts report that 315 farm bankruptcies were filed in calendar year 2025, up 46% from 2024. While still down from recent highs, this is the second year in a row of increased filings.”

When you have prisoners their wellbeing is your responsibility. It's one of those pesky facts when you are in charge of an enviroment. Okanogan County Jail booked two women that died under their care.

The families of two women from the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation who died in jail have filed separate federal lawsuits alleging the Okanogan County Jail failed to treat their opioid withdrawal

Okanogan County had received a state grant under a program meant to ensure its jail provides FDA-approved medications for people incarcerated with opioid use disorder that have been shown to be effective at alleviating severe withdrawal symptoms.

According to the lawsuits, they are among at least nine people — including five Colville Tribal members — who have died or been seriously injured due to similar failures at the jail since 2011.
