There are three symbols of strength in our logo. All three are there on purpose.
The dragon is the S in Studios. In East Asian culture the dragon carries strength, power, and good luck.
ND is Nimble Dragon, and it's my initials. My name means strength, a guiding force, in Tagalog.
And those same two letters, mirrored and read right to left the way Hebrew runs, are the shapes of kaf and chet. כח. Koach. Strength and power.
I know that because I took Hebrew from eighth grade through twelfth. Five years. I was the only non-Jewish kid in the room the entire time.
Nobody would call that a career move. It was just something I wanted to learn, so I learned all of it, the way I've done with every other thing I've picked up. That's the habit that keeps showing up: total immersion, no half measures, and no particular concern about whether it'll ever be useful.
Thirty years later I built it into my logo on purpose.
The rest of the mark works the same way. Nimble is the piece I think about most: moving through a project without friction, sizing up whatever a client walks in with and finding the right answer fast. That isn't a personality trait, it's a discipline, and it's why clients tend to leave a single shoot day with more finished work than they came expecting.
The circle around all of it is completeness. Three decades of picking up skills across sound, photography, architecture, design, and film, and all of it eventually closing into one offering instead of five scattered ones.
Here's why this matters past the origin story. Nothing in that mark is decoration. Every element had to earn its place before it went in. That's the same standard every shot, every sign, and every page gets held to.
Design with Purpose isn't a line we picked because it looked good on a website. It's the rule the logo was built under, years before we wrote it down.
Five years of Hebrew nobody asked me to take. Turns out none of it was wasted.
