Edmund White’s The Flâneur captures a Paris beyond the popular blogs and itineraries, its hidden lanes, layered histories, and the quiet rhythm of everyday life.

There was a time, before the fancy baristas and global blends arrived, when for many of us growing up in tier-2 or tier-3 towns, “having coffee outside” simply meant that humble ExPresso machine, churning out a milky, comforting cup that somehow felt just right.
Today’s cafés may have taken over with their pour-overs, cold brews, and what not — but nothing beats that familiar warmth of the wedding coffee counter, simple, satisfying, and steeped in nostalgia. ☕

Today’s digital age means we’re always on — whether it’s for work or otherwise.
The culture of clocking hours and visible productivity means we’re already switched on mentally for far more hours than what’s healthy, as some reports suggest.
Add to this, the very act of getting to your workplace feels like an act of valour — where all your senses are tested thoroughly.
As a result, TGIF and Monday blues are phrases that are not going anywhere.
And this weekend coffee? Just a small sense of reprieve before it all begins again. ☕✨
But why should life be like this — a cycle of surviving till Friday?

Early morning… when the remnants of the day gone still linger faintly in the air.
The hustle that had once consumed yesterday has slowly settled into a much-needed lull.
A quiet pause — only to gear up again for another day of errands, casual outings,
and the little things that keep life moving forward - today ✨🌅

First the mind said: Why even do this?
The body replied: You’re already up… let’s go.
A few kilometers in,
the mind whispered: Too far… give up.
But the body said: Energy is still good — keep moving.
Later, when the body began to fail,
the mind stepped up: Not now. Not today. We finish.
And somewhere in those final miles,
mind and body stopped arguing…
they became one.
You float. You push. You chase only one thing
the Finish.
That’s what this run felt like.
And isn’t that what every challenge in life is about?

The Harvest Gold Global Run was more than just miles covered. Every runner became part of a purpose , to bring smiles and nourishment to those who need it most. 💛
Because with every stride, we didn’t just run for ourselves we helped put fresh bread on the tables of families across communities. 🍞✨
Here’s to running with purpose, spreading goodness, and making every step count.
Together, we move 🌾🏃‍♀️

“Too much of everything is as bad as too little,” said Edna Ferber.
I wonder if this applies to the concept of productivity, which has surely taken center stage — especially after Covid. It feels as though a switch was pressed and the world completely changed. The clamour for hyper-productivity is so high that it’s almost becoming counterproductive. We are definitely working more, yet producing less quality. There are back-to-back meetings, but very few conversations that actually generate ideas.
Perhaps it’s because of the fear that every moment must count — who knows when the next black swan might occur. We are all caught in what you could call a productivity fallacy, a trap that pushes us to strive for more each day. A fallacy where “more” is definitely leading to “less,” whether we talk as individuals or as a collective.
That’s why I loved the concept of slow productivity by Cal Newport — where you focus on a few things but give them your all. Do less, but get more done, whether in your personal life or at work.
And once you’ve done that, take some time to do nothing — something I’ve struggled with in recent years.

Thanks for reintroducing me to Dolce far niente 😀

They say consistency trumps motivation, and nothing could be more true—though cliché—when it comes to running. Last year, I began with a fairly casual attempt at a 5K at Tuffman Delhi 2024. I somehow managed to finish that day and remember crashing for the entire day afterward. But the energy and enthusiasm from that experience planted the motivation I needed to keep going and improve my running.
Still, no amount of motivation is enough if you don’t show up every day—when no one is watching, and no one really cares except you.
So, one year later, finishing 10.5K at this year’s Tuffman Delhi is just a reminder that showing up consistently truly matters.

Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur is a significant landmark showcasing the influence of Hindu culture in South East Asia. This limestone hill features a series of caves and temples dedicated to Lord Murugan, the son of Shiva, and is a major spiritual hub for Hindus in Malaysia.

The caves are home to stunning stalactites and stalagmites, and the site boasts colorful temples and shrines. Visitors can climb steps to reach the main cave, which houses the world’s tallest Lord Murugan statue (42.7 meters).

Batu Caves is not only a popular tourist destination but also an important cultural site, reflecting the rich heritage of Hinduism in Malaysia.

First impressions of a city are always fascinating 🌟. While at its core, all cities are supposed to be the same - hubs of economic activity that attract millions to call these mega settlements home 🏙️ - to a keen eye, there’s a unique way of being that’s typical to every city, how it moves, and how it just is. So, coming back to first impressions, here are some from Kuala Lumpur, from the heart of KLCC Park 🌳, next to my current place of accommodation, Mandarin Oriental 🏨, with some magnificent views of the Twin Towers 🌆.
