Our newest resident at Electronique, Greg Taylor - shares his Top Ten and his thoughts on the 80s. Catch Greg playing at ELECTRONIQUE : The Originals - 80s Dance Classics, New Wave & Synthetica - SYDNEY SAT 2nd NOV 2024
Tickets available from Trybooking.com : www.tinyurl.com/ElecOrig

Greg Taylor, better known as DJ Kiwi, began his DJ career in 1998, diving headfirst into Sydney's thriving underground scene. Renowned for his energetic and infectious Speed Garage sets, Greg also explored Funky House and Disco House, making his mark in iconic venues such as Soho, Burdekin, City Hotel, Pavilion Hotel, Rooftop Hotel Kings Cross, and Byblos. While known for his underground house roots, today he thrives on the excitement of spinning iconic electronic synth anthems of the 80's.

Greg: "The 80s is when music really started to push boundaries. The tracks feel timeless because they brought something different to the table - a perfect clash of synthetic, robotic sounds and raw human feeling. Tracks like ‘Blue Monday’ aren’t just nostalgia - they’re still influencing the way electronic music is produced today. There’s just something magical about the 80s sound that keeps me coming back for more."

Greg wraps up the night at Electronique with fresh house mixes of your favourite Synth Pop. Judging by the reaction from the crowd at the last two Electronique events, his take on the 80s late in the night is more than well-received.

GREG TAYLOR TOP TEN:
1. New Order – Blue Monday
2. Depeche Mode – Everything Counts
3. Gary Numan – Cars
4. Kraftwerk – Computer World
5. Visage – Fade to Grey
6. Yazoo – Don’t Go
7. Ultravox – Vienna
8. The Human League – Love Action (I Believe in Love)
9. A Flock of Seagulls – I Ran (So Far Away)
10. OMD – Enola Gay
