My original concept of Chumpy Walnut was as a sentient walnut for a comic strip. I changed him into a foot tall human when I decided I was really a writer, not an artist. Chumpy as an actual walnut is one of several different forms he assumes in my WIP “Chumpy Walnut Conquers the World,” coming later this fall from Thrillville Press.
