"Will you have any more copies of that vinyl? It’s sold out!" That’s the message we keep getting about our 36 Hertz Recordings releases — and to be honest, it’s happening a lot lately.
So I had a proper think about it. Since we cut all our records in-house here at the mastering studio, why do we even run out? The main reason is that we only do one run of full-label copies — and when they’re gone, they’re gone.
But what if, after those sell out, we offered white label dubplate versions instead? Same music, same quality, just without the full-colour labels. Makes sense, right?
So we’ve gone ahead and updated all our sold-out titles on Bandcamp to include a white label lathe-cut dubplate option. If you missed out the first time, now’s your chance to grab a white label version for your collection. They sound exactly the same — just a different label.
A heads-up: these are priced slightly higher than the original labelled versions as they’re cut one at a time, rather than in batches. If you want to pay less, make sure to grab them when they first drop.
We’ve also made a few changes to our shipping rates. UK shipping is now slightly cheaper, and for overseas orders, there’s no extra shipping charge for multiple items — so if you grab 10 dubs, you only pay the flat rate shipping cost for one.
