Next Tuesday, September 6th from 3-5:30 will be our CD first Community Serve Day of the school year! Community Serve Days are special days where students have the opportunity to help us give back as we serve our amazing commUNITY! For September, we will be working to help clean up our local area parks!

Sign Ups ARE necessary and limited, so if your student is interested in participating, they need to sign up at The Vault by Friday, September 2nd.

And remember, there is NO Hangout or After Hours programming on our Serve Days!

Who else is ready for our new school year kick off this Thursday and Friday?! We will see our junior high students on Thursday from 5-8pm for lots of ice cream! And high schoolers, get ready to make your own mini pizzas and sing some karaoke on Friday from 7:30-10:30pm and be entered to win prizes just for coming!

Check out our new school year programming hours!! We are excited to extend our Monday and Tuesday hours to offer students more opportunity to connect with each other, make new memories, and learn new skills during our After Hours program.

Each year we provide free snacks for students who attend our after school and evening programs which means we average going through well.. a LOT of snacks 😄 As you're out getting ready for the new school year, consider grabbing an extra set of pre-packaged snacks for our students! Some of their favorites are beef jerky, muffins, chips and granola bars. And, for a healthier option, cuties and bananas are always a hit!

Our purpose:

Earlier this year, when the Covid19 virus disrupted all our lives, created havoc in some lives, made just living day to day difficult for others, caused some to miss out on the most memorable times that they would never be able to celebrate, there were people from many areas in our county that found ways to dispel some of those disruptions, havoc, and difficulties, and made lives better for their actions. At a time when we were lost, those who stepped up changed the world for some. The need was felt to recognize those who, through their actions, were helping others navigate through the time, so people and organizations were contacted throughout the county and asked to share what they were doing to help. Fire Departments, food pantries, Dove, the Friendship Center, the Vault, churches, individual towns throughout the county were contacted and asked for news from their areas in an effort to lift up those who were lifting others. Those stories were shared on another site, but now that some normalcy has returned, we think that we need to continue to share stories of the good deeds that are being done to encourage, assist, and give examples to others who may need some ideas or help. Please feel free to share any stories that have touched you or someone you know. We are stronger together.
