LollapaGOOza 3 preview: Zo Lief

Our final preview covers a band we had been wanting to bring to Brighton for quite some time - Dutch/British dream pop duo Zo Lief.

One of the hardest working touring bands out there, and having just finished up a UK tour, Zo Lief craft a melodic and hypnotic sound that has us in mind of extremely cool and urbane 60s French movies. Collaging velvety, smoky vocals with fuzz guitars and swirly synths, they're crafted a gorgeous psych pop sound that we can't wait for you to see and hear live. In the meantime, check out their recent EP 'Hypnosis' which features the glorious single 'You (A Burden)'.

Nice article and interview with Chris T-T (Chris T - T, extra spaces needed to not convert to a crying face emoji). He plays two more shows before retiring again. One is sold out, the other is LollapaGOOza 3. Get a ticket and see an amazing songwriter.

CHRIS T-T, the pop star, has been retired 10 years. Chris Thorpe-Tracey, the person, is still going strong, and is still firmly ensconced in music. LollapaGOOza 3 preview: Wavepool

We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming Wavepool to LollapaGOOza 3 for their first ever UK show. This five-piece from Rouen in France first came to our attention when they shared with us an early mix of their recently released debut EP 'Crayola'. To say we were pretty blown away is an understatement. Here was a band fully formed with a confidently unique sound and six superbly crafted songs. The sound is dreampop-y and shoegaze-y - awash with lush guitar effects and feelings of hazy sunsets. But there are pop hooks and powerful dynamics throughout that lift them above your run-of-the-mill band with a ton of effects who own their Dad's/Mum's copy of Souvlaki. All topped off by Carine's dreamy voice. We are chuffed to be the first people in Britain to put them on before the UK music scene starts jumping all over them in 2026.

LollapaGOOza 3 preview: The Mink

After stealing hearts at our Great Escape showcase at the Hotel Pelirocco in May 2025, we are delighted to be welcoming Norwich five-piece The Mink back to Brighton for LollapaGOOza 3.

We've fallen hard for this lot in 2025 and not just due to their infectiously hyperactive high-energy live performances, featuring a bassist who appears to have become possessed by a rock and roll demon. Their recorded output continues to hit excellent heights, not least on latest single 'Squeaky Clean' which has us in mind of two favourite Goo bands - the legendary Super Furry Animals and French Canadian indie rockers Corridor. And they've got a bloke on flute (but no Jethro Tull-isms you'll be pleased to hear).

"The Mink leapt from the soup of East Anglia’s music scene in 2023 wielding jazz-infused psychedelia with hooky vocals alongside jagged guitar lines. Released last year, flagship single Otherside received national radio play as the band hit the road, relentlessly bringing their brand of Flute Rock to the masses."

LollapaGOOza 3 preview: Mye Taai

We are absolutely delighted to preview another one of the international artists we are so happy to be bringing over from The Netherlands - Mye Taai.

We found this rave punk collective, based in The Hague/Den Haag, while travelling through NL and Instagram sent them onto our feed. We were immediately enthralled by their stripped back, but aggressive electronic beats, abstract instrumentation and vocalist Mike's crazy delivery - it's colloquial English delivered in a unique Dutch/English accent, furnished with the most incredible rolled R's you've ever heard. Their sound has us in mind of Su***de, Sleaford Mods, The Fall, and then something entirely new. Gigs are sweaty and boisterous, and we can't wait for them to bring that energy to The Hope & Ruin on 25th October. Here's the band in their own words:

"What the f**k is a Mye_Taai? It’s all-day authentic, it’s original, it’s for the future. You’ll get it in five years or sooner than that. No apologies, no filter. A big celebration, error and ultra parties. And it is: we just do.

LollapaGOOza 3 preview: Chris T-T (Chris T - T)

We're super excited that we can announce Chris T - T as the final addition to the Lollapagooza-3 line-up.

Active from the late 1990s, through a 20 year career, Brighton alt/folk songwriter Chris T - T released 10 wildly acclaimed solo albums and played more than 2,000 shows around the world. Despite never breaking through to mainstream success, he built a reputation for vivid psychedelic storytelling, unflinching radical social commentary and a fierce independent spirit. Later on, he became increasingly influential for a generation of punk/folk artists.

In 2017 Chris T - T retired from making his own music. He now works as a writer, record producer and piano player for other artists.

In Autumn 2025 Chris has returned — briefly — to reissue two classic albums on vinyl for the first time: London Is Sinking (from 2003) and a 20th anniversary edition of 9 Red Songs. His appearance at LollapaGOOza 3 will be his only Brighton gig, and is a warmup for a sold out 100 Club show in November, after which Chris plans to vanish again, for the forseeable future.

So, unless you're one of the lucky ones with an 100 Club ticket this could well be your last time to see him play live. Ever.

LollapaGOOza 3 preview: Mary Shelley - the band

In contrast to previous incantations of LollapaGOOza, this time we wanted to increase our reach and include bands from beyond these shores. So we were chuffed to bits when we found out New York art punk four-piece
Mary Shelley were touring Europe around the same time and had space to come and play for us in Brighton.

Describing themselves as punk music you can dance to, Mary Shelley combine post punk rhythms with elements of disco, shoegaze and hip-hop to create their uniquely infectious sound. Their influences range from Talking Heads to Idles, Radiohead to Kendrick Lamar, Dolly Parton to Vi**ra Boys. Their live shows are known for being high energy and highly unpredictable, full of self-deprecating humour, instrument swapping and audience interaction. We can't wait to unleash this exciting slice of Brooklyn on you on 25th October, down at that finest of Brighton institutions The Hope & Ruin.
