Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand
While taking communion the wafer broke in 3 pieces. As I held them in my fingers, I began to thank the Lord for His sacrifice as this reminded me how his body was BROKEN, literally, for my sins. The Holy Spirit said, “This is why I am angry.”
We fly in the face of His sacrifice and call it grace, but it is really abuse.
It is the Parable of the Wicked Servant.
We expect forgiveness, but do not give it.
We expect mercy, but do not extend it.
We expect grace, but do not exercise taking up our own cross and dying daily.
We are prideful and unrepentant, justifying wickedness or as we call it our feelings. Jesus did not “feel” like taking that bitter cup because he KNEW what was in it. He begged God to take it from him, but when He would not (for OUR sakes); Jesus knowing full well what awaited him, said “Not my will, but THY WILL be done.”
Repentance is not a feeling, it is a heart posture.
It is an action to turn from a thing.
“....if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land….” ~ 2 Chronicles 7:14
