A Hobbit’s Tale: The Chairman’s Adventure of Bringing a Story to Life
I’ve been eagerly anticipating writing this post. Every Friday morning, I jot down in my journal, “How Can I Be Better For Next Week?”
Last week was particularly special. As you might know, I’m launching a book with the brilliant, humble, and inspiring Jeff Mostyn
Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of working on this incredible story and book.
On October 30th, the book was released to the public last week.
Jeff and I aimed to inspire many hearts and minds with this book, and it’s wonderful to already hear people’s feedback.
Last week was remarkable, with features in Sports Exclusive in The Sun and Jeff’s appearance on TalkSPORT with Jim White, Alex Crook, and Steve Bruce, garnering a live stream audience of 37,000 views. It was a perfect book launch. I rarely use the word “perfect,” but upon reflection, it truly was, and I’m so proud of what Jeff and I achieved in inspiring many in such a short time.
A micro-break was necessary, and a Halloween party provided the perfect opportunity to unwind and recharge.
I decided to dress as Bilbo Baggins. During the book launch, I reread ‘The Hobbit’ because the past two years felt like an adventure akin to Bilbo’s journey with Jeff. Instead of magic rings, trolls, dwarves, and dragons, I embarked on an adventure to help Jeff share his inspiring life story and the unbelievable AFC Bournemouth story, from near liquidation to the team being second in the Premier League last week. It’s unbelievable!
The purpose of this post is to highlight the theme of “Finding a Way.”
Bilbo found a way to support the dwarves and overcome a dragon to return their home.
Jeff and I found a way to bring “The Chairman” book to life and inspire many in the process.
The Halloween event was exactly what I needed to enjoy the saying, “work hard and play hard.”
Reflection is crucial to our personal growth, providing clarity and allowing us to celebrate successes along the way.
