MAGUDBE POLITICIAN The Never-Ending Drama of Dahir Korow
In politics, every community has that one person who refuses to grow, refuses to learn, and keeps making the same mistakes year after year. In Wajir, that title belongs to Dahir Korow, the perfect example of a Magudbe politician.
For over 20 years, Dahir has been repeating the same political script. Big talk, big promises, hotel “calculations,” imaginary intelligence reports then elimination at the family primary stage before the real race even begins. Four attempts, same ending. It has become his trademark.
His journey started in 2013 when he tried to vie for the Wajir West MP seat but couldn’t even pass family nominations. He was forced to back Abdikadir Ore and that’s when his political downfall began.
One year later, instead of learning from his failure, he turned against Ore and started campaigning for 2017 like a man who already had the seat in his pocket.
For three years he sat in hotels chest-thumping and calculating imaginary votes, but when 2017 arrived he failed again and ended up supporting Kolosh.as was expected he immediately returned to his old routine loud talk, fake predictions, and illusions of power that only impress him.
By 2022 his pattern was well known. He tried again and finished a distant number three behind Kolosh and Muliro all this because of his usual illusion and his know all attitude. Out of frustration, he backed Muliro to “punish” Kolosh and joined Jiir’s team for Governor.as soon as elections ended, he has again locked horns them both Muliro and they didn't wasted time they threw him under the bus and sent him direct to Hotel discussions
And here we are again.
Now he is back on the road, telling anyone he hopes and believing that Kolosh will support and endorse him,
The same Kolosh he parted ways with years ago, the same Kolosh he tried to punish by backing his opponent. Does he even know Kolosh? Is he familiar with Kolosh's hypocrisy?Is he aware of the disappointment waiting for him? Because everyone else knows exactly how this story will end,This is just another illusion in a long chain of illusions.
To make things worse, he has now thrown himself into competition with a young, rising politician Yahya Dahiye, a serious gubernatorial contender simply because he has been misled by Kolosh’s fake endorsement that will never materialise. When the real political game begins, he will realise he was chasing shadows the entire time.
In the end, Dahir Korow remains the textbook definition of a Magudbe politician:
Stuck. Predictable. Repeating the same cycle.
Always loud, but never moving.
