Anniversary Extravaganza: The Barrett School's Gala Ignites Community Spirit and Innovation

The Barrett School at Destin recently marked its first anniversary with an unforgettable evening of elegance and purpose. Hosted in partnership with Destin City Lifestyle Magazine, the "Yacht the Night Away" gala brought together over 200 guests at Legendary Marine’s stunning showroom. With luxury boats, yacht-inspired decor, and an electric atmosphere, the celebration honored the school’s bold mission of inclusive, STEM-driven education for Pre-K3 through 12th grade. ⚓

Guests enjoyed gourmet Italian fare from La Famiglia Italian Restaurant, danced to soulful performances by Sarah Again and Josh Sirten, and applauded dedicated educators during the heartfelt teacher award ceremony. The gala raised an impressive $8,000 for the PTO Foundation, directly supporting innovative student programs in robotics, coding, and hands-on learning.

With the support of community sponsors like Legendary Marine, Jolly Roofing & Contracting Co., LLC , 654LIMO, Hand Arendall Harrison Sale LLC, the Rivest Family, Wood’s Tree & Land, Toxic Freedom, and FASTSIGNS, the event was a true celebration of partnership, progress, and purpose.

🌊 Paddle for Peace: A Healing Journey on the Gulf

Gulf Therapy invites you to their 5th Annual Paddle for Peace on September 20, 2025, at Grayton Beach, Florida, a heartfelt event dedicated to mental wellness, community, and the therapeutic power of paddleboarding. Founded by Amanda Abbott in partnership with TK King of Adventure 30A, this gathering transforms the beauty of the Gulf into a space for healing and connection. 🧘‍♀️

The event blends morning breathwork, an intentional paddle, live music, beachside lunch, and a community raffle, all supporting Gulf Therapy’s mission to make mental health support and paddleboarding accessible to those in need.
