In the right situation, the only thing that happens is you get power 😮💨 But, testing continuity prior to closing the new main disconnect, we were getting a short between A and C phases. One thing to remember is that this might not be bad in all cases… It just might mean you have a control transformer to make sure is the cause of the short (in this case, that was the reason).
We attempted to transfer power to the new generator, but will have to do some troubleshooting tomorrow because we ran out of time today plus the two, included wiring diagrams offered different options for the remote start terminals.
And testing phasing looked great for the camera, but the new service actually does have the wrong phasing that the old service had so now we’re trying to figure out where the best place to change the phases will be.
