But after being honorably discharged from the Marines due to a lack of wars, Payne, the natural-born killer, has absolutely no idea how to cope in everyday civilian life. Fortunately, before he completely breaks down, Payne finds his way back into a military capacity at Madison Preparatory School, leading a group of misfit JROTC students who don't want to be led. Whipping these kids into shape might be his toughest battle yet.

🧠🔪 Top 5 Horror Films with Social Commentary
These aren’t just scary—they say something.

From class warfare and consumerism to race, gender, and body politics, these horror films cut deeper than surface-level screams:

🎬 The Menu — serving up class critique on a silver platter
🎬 Candyman — the horrors of gentrification and racial trauma
🎬 The Substance — beauty culture turned grotesque
🎬 Get Out — race, liberalism, and the horror of being seen
🎬 The Stepford Wives — feminism, conformity, and the cost of perfection

I watched Night of the Living Dead for the first time. Hats off to George A. Romero for pioneering the Zombie flick. Hats off to Duane Jones for being the first black hero protagonist in a major horror film.

Ben should slapped Barbara 3 more times for putting his life at risk. Once again we see that people would survive if they would just have listened to the black character. Definitely love/hate the ending.

Can't believe I waited so long to see this film. Now I need to watch Dawn of the Dead to see how Romero improved between films.
