The Belle Époque Train in Pictures 🚂 (Ad)

We (especially Helene!) completely fell in love with the interior of this train. It felt like stepping straight into the world of Bridgerton. The atmosphere, the details, and the elegance instantly transported us to another era. The journey itself was idyllic and scenic, offering a wonderfully relaxing experience from start to finish.

We took the train from Montreux to Zweisimmen, round trip on the same day. If you have the time, we highly recommend taking a later train back, as Zweisimmen is a charming little town that’s perfect for a little exploring

🎟️ Tickets:
Tickets can be purchased directly from the MOB GoldenPass website

●1st class: CHF 58 per person (one way)

●2nd class: CHF 33 per person (one way)
If you have a Swiss Travel Pass, the journey is fully covered — you only need to reserve your seat (around CHF 9 per person).

️All the information you need to know before hiking Stoos ridge🏔🌱🐮

The way up
-There is plenty of parking at Morschach Talstation, which is the name of the cable car station.
-The first cable car departs from Morschach at 07:10 and then every 30 minutes after that.
-It costs 46 CHF round trip per person.

-When you get off the cable car in Stoos, turn right and follow the path for about 2 minutes. When you see a church on top of a hill to your left, the chairlift that takes you to Fronalpstock will be on your right.
-The first chairlift from Stoos to Fronalpstock is at 09:00, so unless you plan to walk from Stoos, there is no point in arriving earlier.
-The chairlift takes about 15 minutes and costs 34 CHF round trip per person. (Yes, you can use the return ticket from Klingenstock and vice versa.)

The hike
We would describe this hike as moderate difficult. There are only a few steep sections, and those have stairs. In some places the path is quite narrow and steep, so you should be cautious when passing others. There is one spot in particular that we felt was a bit unsafe—crossing a small wooden bridge/plank at the beginning of the incline. However, overall we felt very safe during this hike, and the path is well maintained.
-The hike is aproxomately 4,7km but it goes a lot up and down. (According to our research its about 400 m ascent and 400 meters descent)

The way down
-The last chairlift from Klingenstock goes down at 16:00.
-The cable car from Stoos back down to Morschach runs throughout the evening, so there is no need to worry about missing the cable car on the way down.

A bit more of a random post than usual, but we figured it’s nice to share a little bit of our everyday life with you too 💕

Today marks 11 and a half years together👩‍❤️‍👨 We can’t believe how fast time flies! We celebrated this weekend surrounded by beautiful autumn colors here in Oslo, because honestly, we love celebrating anything worth celebrating… especially love 🥰

Anyone else who finds any excuse to celebrate life?

Wishing you all a wonderful day and week ahead!
🧡🍁💛

Staubifall is one of the most idyllic places we visited in Switzerland🇨🇭💦🌱

Just look at these photos 😱 And just when we thought it couldn’t get any more perfect, a rainbow appeared right in front of the waterfall 🥹🌈

Useful info before visiting Staubifall:
• It’s just over an hour’s drive from Zurich.
• You can park for free at a place called Parking Cascade Staubifall.
• From the parking lot, it’s less than an hour’s easy hike (a gentle incline on a gravel path).
• Entry is free.
• There’s a restaurant by the waterfall. We didn’t try it ourselves, but bring some cash if you plan to—rumor has it they only accept cash payments.

• Det tar litt over én time å kjøre fra Zürich.
