Albums celebrating 10 years in September! 💎🎉
Drake & Future - What a Time to Be Alive
Shortly prior to What a Time to Be Alive, Drake and Future collaborated on the latter’s single “Where Ya At”. The duo talked about recording a mixtape together earlier that year, and following the recording sessions for “Where Ya At”, they began working on the project, beginning in July.
According to a 2016 interview with Zane Lowe, Drake spent 6 days in Atlanta working on the project with Future. “Digital Dash” was the first song they made for the project, originally being a Future record that ended up being finished with Drake later. “Jumpman” was the last song the duo created for the project.
Travis Scott - Rodeo
Rodeo was supported by two singles: “3500” and “Antidote”. The latter became his highest-charting single in the US Billboard Hot 100 at the time, peaking at number 16. The album received generally favorable reviews from critics and debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200. In August 2024, the album was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America(RIAA).
Fetty Wap - Fetty Wap
In November 2014, Fetty Wap announced that he had signed a deal with 300 Entertainment, which resulted from the re-release of his popular debut single “Trap Queen”, which charted at number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
The album was supported by four US Billboard Hot 100 top 40 singles: “Trap Queen”, “679” featuring Remy Boyz, “My Way” featuring Monty, and “Again”. The album’s lead single, “Trap Queen” received two Grammy Award nominations.
