Beautiful gardens in China 🥰
📍Humble administrator’s garden, Suzhou
We only had 24 hours in Suzhou and we just had to go and see these gardens. It’s a lot bigger than we thought and spent quite some time walking around, chatting to locals and of course taking lots of pics ❤️

📍From Auckland to Shanghai — A Transport Engineer’s Dream Day ✈️🚄🚇

What a journey! In just 24 hours, we experienced nearly every major mode of modern transport — and I was in my element.

Here’s how we made it from New Zealand 🇳🇿 to China 🇨🇳:
🚘 Uber to Britomart Station
🚆 AT train to Puhinui
🚌 Bus to Auckland International Airport
✈️ China Southern Boeing 787 to Guangzhou
✈️ Airbus A330 to Shanghai Pudong
🚄 MAGLEV train to Longyang Rd Station
🚇 Shanghai Metro to People's Square

The highlights!
🌟 Flying on the spacious and smooth Boeing 787
🌟 Experiencing the MAGLEV — the world’s fastest commercial passenger train! It can reach 431 km/h, though it typically cruises at a modest 300 km/h. Powered by magnetic levitation, it glides without touching the tracks — an engineering marvel!

From rail to runway to rapid transit — this wasn’t just travel, it was a transport engineer’s playground.

📍Shanghai Pudong Airport
We arrived on a domestic flight and still had to catch a train to another terminal to collect our bags. Even though there were lots of people, everyone shuffled patiently along to get on the escalators. The baggage claim area is so pretty and spacious. In our next post we’ll show you how we got from the airport the city centre 🤗🤗

After a 4 and a bit hour layover it was time to catch our domestic flight to Shanghai 🤗 Again, impressed us! It was a 2,5 hour flight and they even served food, packaged so nicely! Finally we landed in Shanghai ❤️

So impressed with airlines! Food was good, cabin crew so friendly and amazing and we got a little amenity kit.
