We've been harvesting a few things at the desert homestead recently.

Garlic- soft neck it will store well and taste good. Now I have to learn to braid it and hang it.

Sunflowers, round 1, did pretty well. Best thing is their beauty and how they attract polinators. Did you know that you can eat the entire flower, head and all?

Corn did well, but the beautiful butterflies laid eggs that became corn worms (caterpillars), and we only got a couple good ears.

As always, squash is the champ. Our 3-4 plants are pumping out a dozen yellow summer squash a week.
