2 years ago today, we started filming Medora: Empress of the Badlands! We started our first day by tackling our large New Year's Eve Party Scene, set in an upscale New York City Apartment.

This scene involved a lot of collaboration across the entire cast and crew as we coordinated background actors, live musicians, steadicam work, and our large LED Wall that was used to create the NYC skyline and fireworks display outside the window!

We spent a total of 6 weeks filming Medora, including 3 weeks on our soundstage in the old Bismarck Kmart and 3 weeks on location out in the North Dakota Badlands!

With the help and support of the local fire department, we were able to use a real fire when filming END OF THE ROPE!

Once the fire was lit, we had only 20 minutes to get as much coverage as we could before the fire burned itself out.

2 years ago today, we wrapped filming on Hazel's Heart!

Our last day was spent working with miniatures! We built a scale model replica of our sled and sent it down our artificial snowbank as many times as it could take. Then everything was blended together by our incredible Visual Effects Supervisor Tarik Saran to create the shot you see in the film!
