Comfortable in my skin, cozy with who I am.

This definitely holds true in my case. When I was younger, I remember being more self-conscious and generally caring more about other people's opinions of me, to the point that I had anxiety because of that. It was important what clothes I wore, what music I was into, what movies or TV shows I liked, how slim I was—everything had be similar to the social circle I was moving in because, in my young mind, they defined me.

But nowadays, I really don't care anymore. I listen to the music I want; I wear the clothes I feel good in, even if it's not fashionable anymore; and I hang out with a much smaller group of people whom I accept the way they are and who accept me they way I am—we don't always agree on tastes, but everyone knows that's okay and not “lame”.

And regarding how I saw myself versus how I see myself now, I'm more accepting of my flaws, especially those that are genetic and I therefore never had any control over them, so why worry over it?

I am who I am, I look they way I look, and I want what I want. If people can't accept that, then that's fine, as long as they don't spend too much time in my life. And if you told me ten years ago that 30-something me would have this mindset, 20-something me would have had a hard time believing it.
