A little rain couldn’t keep us from having a fun night at the at The Golden Hoosier last night! 🎤
With an open mic, you never know what you may see! Last night we had comics from other cities, even other countries, someone who tried comedy for the first time, & it was great seeing our comics work on new material & build on current ideas.

Our Casual Beginnings & Mission
A Casual Start
Welcome to The Casually Mollie Podcast! The best way to describe this podcast would be CNN: your comedy (& entertainment) news network. If you’re a casual listener to the podcast, you’re probably familiar with how we have a new interview each week. For those who are first being introduced to the podcast, here’s a casual summary of how it all began:
Having a background in theatre & journalism from St. Louis University, Mollie graduated in 2013 & ran a theatre company for five years (GoodPeople Theatre Co.). She produced plays in Cincinnati (OH), Covington (KY), Chicago, St. Louis, & other cities in the Midwest. However, when Mollie began doing stand up comedy, she decided to still produce theatre as a side project, but switch focus to going to open mics & performing in the St. Louis comedy circuit. Inspired by the many comedians she would listen to at her desk during her day job, in addition to the talent she would witness performing at comedy clubs, Mollie decided to go back to her journalism roots & begin interviewing different guests each week. Each interview included a ‘casual topic’ which she thought would help a listener get to know a guest better. From starting out on a phone in her loft, The Casually Mollie Podcast matured to recording out of the MidCoast Studios in the .Zack (located in Midtown, St. Louis) & has expanded to a network of comedians, musicians, & entertainment from St. Louis, as well as around the country.
Our Casual Mission
The Casually Mollie Podcast strives to be a podcast that interviews talent ranging from comedy, to music, & other forms of entertainment to share their stories for listeners to enjoy. Whether on the go or at home, Casually Mollie encourages you to casually choose an episode of your choice while connecting with a guest & topic you may not have known you had an appreciation for.
