It is due to the fact, though that I like this song, the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald by Gordon Lightfoot.🫡

Snow Totals from Around the Region:

Preliminary snow total reports from around Minnesota are in. Southern Minnesota cities got hammered with close to a foot of snow! It'll be interesting to see where everyone finishes off at as I too was a little impressed by this system!

Lots of accidents around the Twin Cities, Metro, and a long interstate 35! Stay safe out there tonight guys on the roads. They are still looking pretty terrible!

Road conditions are a mess right now all across Central and southern Minnesota as well as north eastern Minnesota! Don’t travel tonight if you don’t have to, but if you do download the MN 511 app to make sure you’re prepared before you head out!❄️

7:10pm radar update:

We are finally seeing the backside of the system starting to thin out in Western Minnesota and Western Iowa. Snowfall totals at the end of it all will vary across different areas. By midnight tonight, we should see this exit Minnesota and move into Wisconsin. As for Iowa, throughout the night tonight, it’ll be moving eastward into Illinois. Heavier snow is continuing to fall in central Iowa currently. If you don’t have to travel tonight, don’t do it. Wait until morning. Give these plows a chance to treat the roads and get the roads back up to travel worthy conditions. This has been a dumper of a snowstorm and we are just now nearing the end.❄️

Road conditions are horrible in Iowa right now! If you’re traveling tonight in Iowa or are gonna be going through Iowa, just know that you may not get far. Also in weather like this, some places towing is put on a standstill until the weather lets up.❄️ give me warm very warm
