Pangong Tso(lake) is situated at a height of 14,270ft above sea level and is said to be one of the highest brackish water lakes in the world. The lake is almost 5km wide and 134km long, with one-third of it lying in India and the other two-thirds in China. The beauty is adorned with furry milky clouds and the overlooking stern mountains making an artistic impression reflecting in the water. The lake is also a breeding ground for different types of birds during the summer season. Bar-headed geese, Brahminy ducks, black necked cranes and seagulls are commonly spotted here. The most gripping fact about this lake is that it changes color appearing blue, grey-green, and red at varied points in time. During winter, the lake freezes completely despite being saline water. ❤️🗻🏔️ 🏕️

The face of the Ladakh Tourism, the white-domes Shanti Stupa was built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu, Gyomyo Nakamura as a part of the Peace Pagoda mission. The stupa is a symbol of the ties between the people of Japan and Ladakh. Within the stupa, there are relics of the Buddha, enshrined by the 14th Dalai Lama. The stupa is spread over two levels. First level has Buddha idol, and second features relics depicting the “birth” of Buddha, the death of Buddha (mahanirvana) and Buddha “defeating the devils” while meditating.

Magnetic hill that is believed to defy gravity is located at a distance of 30km(s) from Leh on the Leh-Kargil Highway. It is said that there is a mysterious magnetic force emanating from the hill that pulls stationary vehicles within its range and makes them move uphill, though some contests that it is a mere optical illusion. The strange occurrence has been experienced and testified by travellers from all across the world. The Indus River flowing to the east of Magnetic Hill makes the surroundings a picture-perfect frame.

This striking bridge is one of the most photographed spots in Da Nang, located within Ba Na Hills. This 500-foot-long golden bridge appears to be cradled by two gigantic hands amidst the clouds. Get there early in the morning to snap a shot on the bridge without the crowds. It connects the hilltop cable car station to the stunning Paradise Gardens, and you can enjoy breathtaking views of the East Sea and the Annamite Mountains as you cross.
