ITS ONLY 15 DAYS TILL TOUR!!
STORY TIME..
This photo was taken back in Feb 2023 we were on our first ever summer tour, we arrived in Wellington on the Friday night slept in what can only be described as a dungeon disguised as a back packers and then hit the road first thing on Saturday morning, i remember that back packers well because they made us pay for towels (red flag).
Anyway after a 7 hour drive (shout out to Ben for always driving) we finally made it to the mount, only to be told that Cyclone Gabrielle was about to make its way down the north island towards Welli.
Regardless of this news, we played our show and finished up round midnight, we had no accom so had to crash marae styles in our drummer Ciaran’s brothers lounge for about four hours before departing to drive back to Welli at 4am to try make a 12pm ferry.
Once we got on the ferry we were told that it would be the last one leaving for a while due to the Cyclone, the water was choppy as but eventually we made it into picton and disembarked for another two hour drive back to Kaikōura.
That was the last show of tour, we made no money and I think we sold like 15 presale tickets, but it will live forever as part of our lore and we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for there..
We are grateful to have the opportunity to keep doing what we love and sharing our art with people up and down Aotearoa…
